There was a lot of talk about how much money the Democratic Party poured into Massachusetts to try to save the recent election between Martha Coakley and Scott Brown.

Over the years the producers of “60 Minutes” on CBS has put their foot in their mouth or been caught red-handed with bogus reporting. A segment on Sunday’s broadcast was neither. IT WAS A FLAT OUT EFFORT AT PROPAGANDA on behalf of the President and the Democratic Party. It smacked to me as if Katie Couric (or a KC wanna-be) was the editor of the piece. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

As reported on Fox News Monday, the “news” program did a segment on the new book “Game Change” by John Heikmann and Mark Helperin that is due out Tuesday.

What was truly outrageous was the content of that segment.

Out of a 13:03 (13 minutes, 3 second) feature, producers dedicated their time in this fashion:

Negative coverage of Sarah Palin consumed 5 minutes, 20 seconds in the first section.
Coverage of Hillary Clinton consumed 30 seconds.
President Obama -- the virtual target of Harry Reid’s controversial racist remarks -- was featured for less than one minute (58 seconds) .
Sarah Palin was revisited for an additional 4 minutes, 44 seconds.
Hillary Clinton was back in focus for one minute.

Every bit of the whispers and CYA conversations in Washington DC this past weekend were about Harry Reid and what he said (about Obama) in 2008. The book authors quoted Reid's comments on Barack Obama’s run for the Presidency in this way: “He (Reid) was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama. A ‘light-skinned’ African-American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

While the comment shows a form of support for Obama, it clearly illustrates that Reid believed Barack was a great “talking head” and was effective at manipulating the Black community with an uncharacteristic level of ebonics.

Was this the heart of the CBS coverage of the book? NO!

In fact, when you look at the total of timed segments this is how it boils down:

Sarah Palin: Ten minutes, 4 seconds
Hillary Clinton: One minute, thirty seconds
Barack Obama: 58 seconds

There was NO interview or time spent with Harry Reid. In fact there was no mention of his statement about Obama.

Another hot zone in the “Game Change” book is a Bill Clinton quote. Clinton ran afoul of Senator Ted Kennedy and triggered Kennedy’s endorsement of Obama by saying to him: “A few years ago, this guy (Obama) would have been getting us coffee.”

Hillary was not asked about the quote and Bill himself was not interviewed to discuss it.

The overwhelming bias in the segment and on the CBS 60 Minutes web site afterward is an affront to Americans everywhere and raises real questions as to any level of “fairness” or “accuracy” in their reporting. If the FCC fines a network hundreds of thousands of dollars for one slip of the tongue with a swear word these days, where is their reaction with licensing that clearly and totally violates the “public good” regulations?

BECK EXPOSES JOHN MURTHA

He didn't get the title "King of Pork" for no reason. Pennsylvania's Congressman, John Murtha has earned every complaint and every attack for his years of corruption. He unabashedly has sucked on the American Taxpayer for years and he has done it with pride and complete distain.

On Thursday night's show Glenn Beck ran a video clip of just how Murtha conducts business when he is in charge. The video shows him conducting a vote in the House of Representatives.

When Murtha asks for a verbal vote it appears about 10 people respond with a "YEA" (yes) and a much larger group thunders "NEA" (no). Murtha, who is obviously in favor of the resolution declares "The 'YEAs' have it. His interpretation of the vote is completely out of touch with reality, yet Congressman Murtha simply doesn't care.

It's hard to imagine that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Democratic members of Congress haven't finally gone totally over the edge. They are clearly insanely arrogant people. Am I the only one who is concerned we are on the verge of anarchy and that lethal actions toward politicians are at our doorstep?

Desperation and frustration felt by Americans may seem to have no other outlet. I ask the small number of politicians in Washington who truly believe in the greatness of America to seize control at their end and take the red cape out of the hands of Nancy and Harry. This is one bull fight no one will win if they don't.

I’ll be the first one to admit this isn’t my usual approach to things but an e-mail came across my desk today and it brought to mind the attached cartoon graphic from PatriotUpdate.com.

On a personal note I have to point out that this isn’t the first time the heavy metal group Metallica and other memories have collided in my mind. In the 70’s there was a musical group called “Spirit in Flesh” (Metromedia Records) headed up by a guy named Michael I grew up with. It was my first driving assignment for a band and not only did it put me on stage at Carneige Hall in NYC, more importantly it took me to Washington DC for a May 15th Rally only the old folks remember.

Michael went on to change his name a bit later to “Rapunsel” as he and members of his commune in Gill, Massachusetts worked at promoting the band. I can’t really recall just when the next thing happened (could be a year or so), but along came a much more successful band called “Metallica” that achieved all that Michael wanted. The oddity of all this is that Michael’s actual last name was (you guessed it!) Metallica.

Take a moment and read through Metallica’s lyrics to their song “Master of Puppets”. In this day and age there can only be one person who quickly comes to mind... President Barack Obama.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE????

No one ever said it would be easy. There is a battle at hand between Americans nationwide and elected politicians (and those who influence -- or 'own' -- them).

April 15th was an opening salvo, the first skirmish and with a near news media "blackout", many citizens could easily have been discouraged. But that didn't happen.

Do we thank President Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid? Or do the kudos actually go much farther to encompass nearly the entire unresponsive and arrogant Congress? Barney Frank, Charles Rangle and others come to mind. If so many hadn't dismissed the outrage of Americans the effort might well have died in a wash of apathy. Thank goodness for small favors. The politicians kept up with their antics and more and more people said "I''m mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."

Sure, events planned for July 4th were less than dramatic, but the recent march on Washington DC (still not covered by major network media) was very successful. Whether you agree with estimates in the range of a million and a half people or not, the crowds were undeniably huge.

But one effective skirmish doesn't win a war. Understand Americans are at war with a President who is Hell-bent to destroy the foundation that this country was built upon. We are at war with the politicians who do not represent us any more. And the country is at war with shortsighted major media outlets who hope against hope that if they don't anger the politicians, some how they will be allowed to survive. Dumb approach.

Across the country the more dedicated, more aggressive Tea Party and Meet Up groups are holding planning sessions as we speak. Many are looking to the next big national holiday (Veterans Day in November) as their next protest target. Is that enough? No, not really because momentum must be maintained and actually expanded.

That brings me to the old adage: "What have you done for me (your country) lately?"

Right now is the time to be "speaking your mind all the time". Talk to friends, neighbors, people at work, at church, even at the grocery store in town. Engage them with your concerns about Washington and your state and local legislatures. This is not the time to be timid or quiet.

While you may find that trying to talk to your Liberal friends will be as effective as trying to negotiate with a terrorist, I suspect you'll be very surprised to find just how many acquaintances you have who are now more Conservative or Independent in their thinking. This is the base to work with. These are the people you want to appeal to and ignite their passions.

Look around. Ask around. Find more to get involved in and go out and save your country.

THE END OF AMERICA REALLY IS AT HAND -- UNLESS YOU ACT TODAY!

Whether it's the destruction of our national defense, the birth of a disastrous "forgive us, we're bad" foreign policy or the all-out assault on our free market economic system, Barack Obama and company have begun to implement massive government control over every one of us in America. He wishes to make us indigent and forever beholding to a Big Brother government.

Realize the radical changes Barack Obama and the Socialists in Congress are foisting upon our way of life! The seeds they have planted since Day One of this Administration will continue to blossom for years to come. Obama's efforts are the KUJO of Socialism, a political vine that will infiltrate and overwhelm every living concept and freedom in our society.

Americans are already way BEHIND THE 8 BALL as the Obama "Community" -- George Soros, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Rahm Emanuel, Harry Reid, Jeanne Shaheen, Barbra Boxer and others in the small but powerful group of left-wing radicals at the controls of this transformation, exercise their HATE FOR AMERICA. All are disciples of the 1960s radical Saul Alinsky.

Alinsky's book, "Rules for Radicals", was the Little Red Book for the college radicals of the 1960s. For those who never grew up and outgrew the ideologies of destruction and hatred, it remains the marching orders for the Ultra Far Left and Progressives.

From now until Election (let's call it EJECTION) Day in 2010, invest your time, your passions and your freedom to speak your mind all the time. Work to take down this treasonous network of corruption. Expose, question and threaten the status quo.

Don't you dare sit back and wait for the next person to act. It's YOUR responsibility!

THE ILLUSIONS OF "WINNING TATICS" IN THE 2010 ELECTIONS

Rumblings have begun about just what "must" be done in the 2010 Election Cycle. Blogs are beginning to fill with "win-loss" scenarios with head counts from both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate.

Reasonable arguments are being made that voters can create a total shift from the current Democratic control to one of Republican control. Others argue that to do so would just set the table for President Barack Obama to go on having someone else to blame for all his failures. In response to that prospect still others urge voters in America to replace a "certain number" so neither party have dominant control.

I am greatly concerned when people think they can fine tune an election process so there will be "just enough" of anything. One hopes the reality that "control is an illusion" quickly comes to mind.

The battle at hand is to wrestle our country back from a radical group of Far, Far Left Radical Progressives who continue to straddle the Ivory Towers of elitist educational environments and the swamps of political corruption at their deepest.

First and foremost the deranged and/or totally corrupt members of Congress must be thrown out. I don't know what it will take, but perhaps every ounce of energy, every dollar available and every bit of pressure imaginable must be focused on removing a relatively small group.

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Henry Waxman, Charlie Rangel, Christopher Dodd, Barbra Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Jeanne Shaheen and Olympia Snowe would be on my list. Oh, let’s not forget Pennsylvania’s “finest”, John Murtha. He may not be in the same political bedroom as the others but he does his very best to feed at the money trough in Washington. “Cutting government spending” would NEVER be his agenda.

Nancy would be first on my list. I’m just frustrated that I don’t have the millions of dollars it would take to move enough people into her Congressional District, get them registered and then vote her out of office. Understand this example. The “Queen of the Nanny State” is revered by legislators in Sacramento who passed more waco laws in 2008 like the one that requires “anyone under the age of 13 to wear a life preserver in order to go swimming in California”. Their reasoning? There were so many illegal aliens from Mexico who couldn’t speak English and they didn’t know how to yell “Help” if they were drowning. (Yes, that was the comment from the Legislative Leaders!)

Clearly some of you might have to avoid the natural response...”Their Illegals. Let them drown.” The other reaction could more passionately be for the 99% in that same age group who simply want to enjoy a comforting and fun swim.

In the last 100 years (or more?), there has not been a greater threat to everything that has made America the great nation that it is. People associated with the Obama Administration -- whether in political office, acting as a Czar or those behind the scenes sending you SPAM or pulling other dirty tricks -- are all dangerous and seemingly have no interest in protecting, serving or promoting America. Many are criminals, tax cheats, declared Communists or good old fashion, power-hungry sociopaths. Meanwhile we have a President who spends every waking moment in what psychologists call "Pretend Reality".

It's laughable that years ago people use to scoff at Ronald Regan's run for the Presidency to be one of "just an actor".

In truth, President Barack Obama makes it nearly a daily occurrence to stand in the spot light while he lies his butt off to America. Now that's acting! Thankfully Americans are growing tired of the Obama Soap Opera.

I don't think the man has anything but his own ego to be served each day. 545 versus 300,000,000

Every day we here at SatireWorks.com receive all kinds of e-mail (you're invited to send if you wish) and today was no exception. One that caught our eye did not have a signature line but it seemed to be such a great reminder of the power of the vote, we had to make up a new product line and reprint the note. Our thanks to whomever originally wrote this.

545 PEOPLE WITH TOO MUCH POWER, DISTAIN AND ARROGANCE...

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does..
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-pickingthing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.

The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
