In yet another "back room" deal, President Barack Obama has brought 15 new appointees into his Administration that even he couldn't get approved by his Democratic henchmen (and woman) in Congress.

By using the Presidential privilege of simply appointing people when Congress is off on vacation, Obama has once again proven his arrogance and distain for the American people and our nation as a whole. After all, this is the Obama way.

Craig Becker is the most controversial of the new appointments. He will join the National Labor Relations Board to mediate disputes between Labor and Business. All 41 Republican Senators had asked President Obama NOT to try to seat Becker in the position because he had been a top lawyer of SEIU and the AFL-CIO, he was too "pro Labor" and would be too biased, but Obama did it anyway. The severe danger in placing such a person in such a powerful position is that he can orchestrate a negotiation that intentionally leads to a deadlock (impossible demands by the Unions and Big Labor), and then step in with the full authority of the government and issue his own judgement for an outcome.

Understand this. Labor could literally ask for 100% of a business' profits in a negotiation. A more reasonable arbitrator would immediately declare that to be irrational and refuse to even accept that as a meaningful offer in good faith but Becker perhaps would not take that step.

The company refuses the demand and then the Union refuses to discuss anything else. There is the "deadlock". Becker steps in and Orders the company to turn over 99% of the company profits and declares that to be a "negotiated settlement". How would you like to be the business owner?

President Barack Obama is as out of control as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and this is just the FIRST WEEK of him flexing his muscles after the Healthcare vote!!! God help us with nine more months before any change can happen in Congress. Where are the Woodward and Bersteins of today so IMPEACHMENT can get started???

AFTER THE VOTE IN WASHINGTON

For the Americans who surrounded the Capital Building and shouted at Nancy Pelosi in her victory parade, the Obama Healthcare vote was a very, very difficult time. Republican Representative Steve King from Iowa went out to pay his respects.

DYING OF THRIST? HOW ABOUT YOUR HEALTHCARE VOTE?

Representative Devin Nunes (R) California, has leveled what has to be the most devastating accusation to date against the Obama Administration. In a year when the usually furtile San Joaquin Valley in California would have been producing millions of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetable crops because rainfall has been at 129% of the annual average, the Federal government has had the water taps from up north nearly shut off. Federal agencies are only allowing 25% of the available water to be fed to farmers.

But suddenly this week, because two Democratic Representatives from Congress are in play for a Yes or No vote on Obama's National Healthcare Bill, the Administration is clandestinely offering to open the spigots again.

What's been the result of the artificially created water shortage? The Valley has suffered an unemployment rate of 20 to 40% and prices of crops that would normally travel throughout the United States have understandably escalated.

Nunes identifies this approach by Obama's Administration as the exact same attics used by dictators in other countries.

He also points to Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, George Miller and a "San Francisco / Hollywood" Socialist mentality of Utopia as the long standing origin of the arrogance and insanity. "When you look at the San Joaquin Valley we're what happens when you create a 'Socialist Utopia'. The people of California pay for it", said Nunes.

"This political machine was started in the 60's with a bunch of environmentally radical regulations. They turned off the logging industry in the 80's. Then they began turning off the water in 1992. THIS IS COMING TO THE REST OF AMERICA IF PEOPLE DON'T WATCH OUT."

One might recognize this as a Cass Sunstein tactic. This is to control everyone.

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution reads: “The President, Vice President and all civil officers

of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for,

I have to confess. I am one of the 299 million (I'm just guessing here that there actually were a million or so Americans who said IMPEACH OBAMA long before this) who now realize it's time to throw this man out with the rest of the garbage in Washington.

As far as destroying America as a game plan, I have no doubt Barack H. Obama is, in all likelihood, simply a puppet of others. But that is no excuse. I believe there is zero possibility that he didn't know what was planned and it's obvious he has done nothing to stop the overthrow of our blessed nation.

Formal IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS against Barack H. Obama must start today. Not tomorrow or the next day because he has proven that every single day he is in office he hurts the country and American citizens. Any person who doesn't realize this, or supports him in any way, is just plain stupid. History will prove just how badly we all have been fooled and how we came the very brink of extinction as a fine nation.

Don't stand back and proclaim "Not my problem. I didn't vote for him." He is everybody's problem and each and every American must stand behind the effort to remove our President.

Here are just a handful of the high crimes and misdemeanors committed by Barack Hussein Obama.

He lied to the American people when he said we could keep our private insurance, knowing full well that his legislation would inevitably drive private insurers out of business.

Gerald Walpin, Inspector General of the Corporation For National and Community Service investigated Kevin Johnson, a big buddy of the president, for misuse of funds from an AmeriCorps grant. Whereupon Obama vindictively fired Walpin to cover for Johnson. A subsequent investigation vindicated Walpin’s judgment in the matter.

Barack Hussein Obama has overseen the effective takeover by government of banks, the largest insurance company (AIG), and General Motors (GM) and Chrysler... the bulk of the U.S. auto industry, thus depriving bondholders, shareholders, and others of their property.

Barack Hussein Obama is actively pursuing cap-and-trade legislation. Instead of taxing the very air we breathe, it would instead, in a manner of speaking, tax the air we exhale and give the government unprecedented control over the economy and American businesses.

Barack Hussein Obama is running up our debt at an alarming rate. In just 9 months since Obama assumed office, our National Debt has gone up by over a trillion dollars.

And, to add insult to injury, we're printing money like it's going out of style. The effect will be hyper-inflation, a crippling of our economy and, quite possibly, personal hardship on a scale that has not been experienced since the Great Depression.

Barack Hussein Obama has appointed countless “Czars” to oversee everything from the closing of Guantanamo to the food we eat. These Czars don’t have to be approved by the Senate. The Czars have unprecedented power and report only to Obama. Members of both parties are disturbed by these extra-Constitutional excrescences.

Senator Robert Byrd said: “The accumulation of power by White House staff can threaten the Constitutional system of checks and balances.” Congressman Jack Kingston called the Czars a “parallel government.”

And finally, Obama has consistently refused to approve the release of his actual birth certificate, college transcripts and his medical records.

And these matters only scratch the surface.

OBAMA HAS ACHIEVED UNRESTRAINED RULE OVER AMERICA

The overworked phrase "If you're not scared, you're not paying attention", doesn't even come close to what is actually occurring in the Federal Government of the United States. This chart from "Americans For Prosperity" should terrify even the most jaded political skeptic.

It shows in simple detail that President Barack Obama has taken over our entire government. You do what he wants or he simply goes around you and gets his own way. Gee, doesn't that "go around you" phrase sound just a little bit familiar? Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi said the same thing about passing the Democrat's Healthcare Bill. It went something like this: "We go around you, over the fence or parachute in to get this done."

So just what is President Obama doing? When the Senate failed to pass "Cap & Trade", he sent his demands on to the EPA to accomplish much of the same. When both the House and the Senate didn't fall for crushing Freedom of Speech (or the wholesale takeover of radio), as part of "Internet Regulation", Obama tossed the ball to the FCC.

He's done the same with Union Card Check Efforts, wiggling his way by everyone and protecting his ideas with the strength of "Recess Appointments" -- when Congress isn't around to stop him.

The final two slight of hand maneuvers with an Executive Order for the Debt Commission and now, with his planned Healthcare triumph just days away, he played Nancy and Harry like a fine-tuned instrument with their shell game antics and the empty promises of "Reconcilliation".

This man will stoop to anything. He is ego driven, ruthless and totally bent on destroying the American Republic. It's time to stop having "Hope" and understand it's been a year of total "Hype". Americans have been had by a man who is no different than grossly tragic political leaders of the past. But he is an United States President like no other before him.

Our nation is under attack. Pay attention. Speak out. Demand your country back from a run-a-way Congress and Executive Branch.

OBAMA, REID AND PELOSI THROW ALL HOUSE DEMOCRATS UNDER THE BUS!!!

Republican Senator John Barrasso from Wyoming had a very revealing conversation with Greta Van Susteren on Fox News Monday night.

In Barrasso’s opinion (one apparently shared by many Republican Congressmen), President Obama is counting on Nancy Pelosi’s ability to get the Senate version of the Health Care Bill passed in the House of Representatives. All the talk about “Reconciliation” is a total scam and just another smoke screen, but this time it isn’t the American Public who is supposed to get conned, it’s all the Democrats in the House.

The President wants the Senate Bill passed and then he will sign it. He doesn’t give a damn what happens after that...because nothing will change.

Once House Dems toe the Party line and pass the Senate Bill -- fully expecting the changes they actually want and have been promised by Pelosi through Reconciliation -- they’ll raise a glass and cheer as Obama signs the legislation and hastily beats feet out of town on his scheduled international escape. But Pelosi, Reid and Obama all know that Reconciliation is a very flawed process and by Rule of Order, thousands of Unrelated Amendments can be added by either party during discussions. That whole process can be virtually endless. The horrible part for the country is that the Bill will already have become law.

That’s 500 BILLION DOLLARS in new taxes, a 500 BILLION DOLLAR cut in Medicare and ALL the “Sweetheart” deals (like the Nebraska, Florida and Louisiana gifts) made in the past six months. Bend over everyone. Here it comes.

Look for every government building in the country to be renamed to a Disney character or every Interstate highway to be officially closed one day a week “for cleaning” or “redecorating”. If there is a crazy idea (and we all know there is NEVER a shortage of those in Washington), it can be introduced as an Amendment to the (now passed) Health Care Bill.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if the Republicans simply decided to offer an Amendment to dedicate every failed program in the United States to the Democratic Party through a similar renaming effort. The “Democratic United States Post Office”. The “Democratic Pot Hole Protection Program” (Pittsburgh would like that one!). The “Democratic -- We Love To Lie To You -- Climate Control Tax”. Well, you get the idea.

With a thousand nefarious and irrelevant Amendments, the Reconciliation process would collapse and House Democrats would be left holding an empty bag of Nancy’s promises.

Remember, Senators always consider themselves to be the superior beings in the food chain of Congress. After all, their term in office is six years, not the trivial two that the “lower house” gets. They’re just fine with the Bill they have passed and they have no obligation or desire to change a thing.

The BIG rubber stamp saying “SUCKER” is hiding in Harry Reid’s desk and he can’t wait to greet the House members at the door of the Reconciliation Room to pop a good one on everyone’s forehead.

Will the incredibly stupid House Democrats finally realize those 22” wheels passing over their bodies are from Obama’s Chicago Express coach? Yes, you are being thrown under the bus by your own party!

Barack Obama says we need to have a conversation about race in America. Fair enough.. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation.

White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to. This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Rev. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American. If he lived in almost any other country, his comments would have put him in jail or proved fatal.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up Blacks than White Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances but where is the gratitude?

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona? And Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids.?

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

OBAMA ENDORSES “TARGETED KILLING” OF U.S. CITIZENS

A Washington Post article reports that U.S. President Barack Obama has embraced the policy of authorizing the killing of U.S. citizens involved in terrorist activities overseas.

Chip Pitts, president of the Bill of Rights Defence Committee, has revealed: "...the Obama administration's even greater reliance on targeted extra-judicial killing - including of U.S. citizens - is a tragic legal, moral, and practical mistake."

"Even for those who accept the legitimacy of the death penalty, this further undermines the rule of law that is our best weapon in the fight against true terrorists, while completely subverting due process and constitutional rights of U.S. citizens," he said.

Ben Wizner, staff attorney with the ACLU National Security Project, said, "It is alarming to hear that the Obama administration is asserting that the President can authorize the assassination of Americans abroad, even if they are far from any battlefield and may have never taken up arms against the U।S., but have only been deemed to constitute an unspecified 'threat.'"

CBS PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN IS AN OUTRAGE

Over the years the producers of “60 Minutes” on CBS has put their foot in their mouth or been caught red-handed with bogus reporting. A segment on Sunday’s broadcast was neither. IT WAS A FLAT OUT EFFORT AT PROPAGANDA on behalf of the President and the Democratic Party. It smacked to me as if Katie Couric (or a KC wanna-be) was the editor of the piece. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

As reported on Fox News Monday, the “news” program did a segment on the new book “Game Change” by John Heikmann and Mark Helperin that is due out Tuesday.

What was truly outrageous was the content of that segment.

Out of a 13:03 (13 minutes, 3 second) feature, producers dedicated their time in this fashion:

Negative coverage of Sarah Palin consumed 5 minutes, 20 seconds in the first section.
Coverage of Hillary Clinton consumed 30 seconds.
President Obama -- the virtual target of Harry Reid’s controversial racist remarks -- was featured for less than one minute (58 seconds) .
Sarah Palin was revisited for an additional 4 minutes, 44 seconds.
Hillary Clinton was back in focus for one minute.

Every bit of the whispers and CYA conversations in Washington DC this past weekend were about Harry Reid and what he said (about Obama) in 2008. The book authors quoted Reid's comments on Barack Obama’s run for the Presidency in this way: “He (Reid) was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama. A ‘light-skinned’ African-American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

While the comment shows a form of support for Obama, it clearly illustrates that Reid believed Barack was a great “talking head” and was effective at manipulating the Black community with an uncharacteristic level of ebonics.

Was this the heart of the CBS coverage of the book? NO!

In fact, when you look at the total of timed segments this is how it boils down:

Sarah Palin: Ten minutes, 4 seconds
Hillary Clinton: One minute, thirty seconds
Barack Obama: 58 seconds

There was NO interview or time spent with Harry Reid. In fact there was no mention of his statement about Obama.

Another hot zone in the “Game Change” book is a Bill Clinton quote. Clinton ran afoul of Senator Ted Kennedy and triggered Kennedy’s endorsement of Obama by saying to him: “A few years ago, this guy (Obama) would have been getting us coffee.”

Hillary was not asked about the quote and Bill himself was not interviewed to discuss it.

The overwhelming bias in the segment and on the CBS 60 Minutes web site afterward is an affront to Americans everywhere and raises real questions as to any level of “fairness” or “accuracy” in their reporting. If the FCC fines a network hundreds of thousands of dollars for one slip of the tongue with a swear word these days, where is their reaction with licensing that clearly and totally violates the “public good” regulations?

A video clip of a 9/24/08 Fox News story by Britt Hume and Bret Bajer, clearly shows President George W. Bush (you know, the guy who gets blamed for everything by the Obama Administration), Senator John (I’m not always a RINO) McCain, Treasury Secretary John Snow and Fed Chief Alan Greenspan, all warned the Congress that unbridled expansion and power within the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mortgage industries would lead to the housing crisis and meltdown disaster that America has been -- and continues -- living through.

We have been told that this video has been REMOVED from the United States version of YouTube as if we Americans were no better than the Chinese when the government needs to shut people up. At this point we do have the clip from a Canadian source and it is here for you to look at and digest.

One concept that I have yet to see discussed on any major network -- Fox or otherwise -- is just why people like Barney Frank and Chuck Shumer were so interested in promoting this financial nightmare. I have suggested from time to time that other than the usual Democratic Party approach of making more people dependent -- or at least more beholding -- to the government, are these rather simple facts of life in America.

(1) Government funds that are easily earmarked for certain geographical areas help build politically defined demographic regions of the country where Democrats have their strongest base, so why not expand or repopulate those neighborhoods?

(2) Americans don’t actually own any real estate. We have a Feudalistic system where -- with the exception of churches, schools and a some non-profits, EVERYONE must pay taxes to live on or in their own property. If we do not pay, we are evicted and our property is seized. In reality WE MERELY RENT from the government.

(3) Real estate taxes are the number one source of income for local municipalities and if that revenue stream was not in place, cities and towns would have to look to state and federal coffers for funds.

The bottom line for Barney and Chuck could be easily explained. The more people we get into houses, the more we can overcome that nasty little problem where half the people in the United States don’t pay income taxes. Tah, dah! More money for government to spend.

"FALSE FLAG" ATTACK COMING IN OCTOBER?

Americans are gearing up for a national election to be held on November 2, 2010.

For the majority of people in the country this is shaping up to be the most important realignment of direction, power and authority that they have seen in their lifetime. Tea Parties, 9/12 and other events over the past year clearly reflect that there is a major level of discontentment within our society.

Will there be a massive shift from the stranglehold Congressional Democrats have had for years to a more Conservative approach? Many believe that this is not only possible, but very likely. Really?

After a year in which we have seen that no dirty trick, no lie or no level of ignoring the United States Constitution, was too much for Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Barack Obama and his organized crime family of administrators, I still think most Americans don't really "get it".

There are billions of TARP dollars that have yet to be spent by Washington that -- at the very least -- will continue to find there way into the districts of Congressional Democrats. As we head into July, August and September and the President and Democratic henchmen begin to finally understand CITIZENS WANT THEIR COUNTRY BACK, panic will rule the day. Remember the days late in the 2008 Presidential Election when the Clinton Campaign was quoted as saying "Nice kid, but he'll never beat us." And then reality came knocking and the deals began.

Deals are not going to work next Fall. Americans are not politicians. They are not in the game of wheeling and dealing. There will be no compromise. They want virtually EVERY DEMOCRAT to go!

Bribes and BS (Barack Speak) are not going to save the day for the Dems.

Faced with that there can be only one answer. Based on the track record of the Progressive Democrats who have kidnapped American there will be a classic "FALSE FLAG" attack on our nation.

Def: FALSE FLAG operations are COVERT INITIATIVES which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities (our "enemies"). The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one's own.

What would be a "False Flag" under these circumstances? That's the tricky part.

Don't think for a minute that Obama has a clue. Once again he will turn to Soros and others that normally yank his puppet strings, but even these people don't have the answers. They only know how to get out a pipe or a billy club and do some persuading. They don't know the meaning of nuance.

So where does that leave them?

Actually all this supposition is a complete waste of time. While the "kids" of Obama's "Amateur Hour" get to play with the nation's economic future, taxation and even the value of our Constitution, the real power brokers -- the ones who tell Soros what to do -- are mostly overseas. Think of the de Rothschild Family (Banque privée Edmond de Rothschild), The Bilderberg Group, the Rockefellers (here in America) and -- a name you have never heard of -- Maurice Strong, the former United Nations crook who now "advises" and lives in China.

They know what must be done to manipulate Americans. I suspect that they already have a plan drawn up that will accomplish strategic goals and keep the Democrats in power.

(1) Any action must terrify the average citizen and encourage them to turn to the Federal Government for perceived safety and protection.

(2) A brief opportunity must be available for President Obama to cloak himself in the American flag, pretend to care and appear "patriotic".

(3) Every effort will be made by the national media for citizens themselves to rally around the President.

(4) Joe Biden will be hidden away so he can't play "Balloon Boy" and reveal the secret plan to everything.

Do you get it yet? The Crown Jewell to the plan is that November's NATIONAL ELECTION WILL BE POSTPONED -- INDEFINATELY!

Don't underestimate these people. Just imagine, if someone had told you just one year ago:

Our President would reduce your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and give Unions a majority, controlling stake in GM.

Our President would bow to the King of Saudi Arabia.

Our President would burn 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day.

Our President's Administration would okay Air Force One -- followed by a jet fighter -- flying low over millions of people in Manhattan.

Our President would create 32 political Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate and undermining the Balance of Power standards in our county.

While we don't want to see a "False Flag" and certainly hope nothing like it happens, the "office pool" starts tomorrow.

Big Rig truck driver’s have long since been considered by many as being the “Last Great American Cowboys”. Just get in their way in Pittsburgh this time of year and if they don’t push you off the Interstate, they’ll at least scare you out of their way. Try driving in the center lane of I-95 or I-75 down south and if you aren’t going AT LEAST 75 to 80 mph, you will get run over!

But in all fairness to the rest of us, the real “open road” still belongs to those who want the wind in their hair, the bugs in their teeth and the freedom to ride their two wheeled horse without a “skid lid”. No, demographically these aren’t the gang members or “James Dean” bad boys of forty years ago, but they are the (both men and women) motorcycle riders of today.

The feeling of FREEDOM in their riding is alive (but not well) in 27 states today because despite repeated extortion attempts (withholding highway funds and more) and extreme pressure by bureaucrats in Washington, these states still allow adults to ride without helmets.

But take your photos of smiling bikers today because very, very shortly, the states’ right to allow such freedom will be squashed like a bug.

The outrageously Unconstitutional “Health Care Bill” (or whatever name it masquerades by today), is packed with so much back door power and regulation, it will be childs play for Federal Government Agencies and Regulators to simply send out a memo to law enforcement nationwide that make the wearing of a helmet MANDATORY. After all, it will cost the Federal Health Care Insurance Agency (Opps! Did I let the cat out of the bag?), if someone gets hurt.

Over the next six months at every single opportunity, ask, e-mail or phone your state legislators and inquire what have they done to stop yet another power grab by the Obama Administration from states across America.

Every state has a “Motorcyclist Rights” organization of one form or another. Contact them today and make sure their members are aware of this coming violation of their rights. On the national level it’s time to begin a letter-writing campaign to the AMA.

For those of you who don’t ride, understand you are next.

Remember all the cartoon jokes early last year when Obama began firing people and took over the auto industry. Remember all the pictures of the “Pelosi-mobile” that she'd love to order you buy and drive?

Understand, all the time this Organized Criminal government intervention is taking place, I'll ask you to watch out for one thing. The next time you are on a highway that has a HOV lane, you may notice that local or state laws allow "Hybrid" or electric vehicles to use that lane with only one person aboard. Oddly enough, 9 out of 10 of those drivers are speeding. (That's "conservation"?) It's like one of our stickers says: "A Prius isn't an ECO car, it's an EGO car!"

JOHN PIERPONT MORGAN MAKES BERNIE MADOFF LOOK LIKE AN AMATEUR

"Today's history lesson is on..."

With those faithful words my high school history teacher would proceed to put half the class (often myself included) into a near catatonic state. Education is another one of those things 'wasted on the young'.

Well now I am at an age -- and living through a moment in history -- when what has happened in the past really does offer all of us some insight into the future. A good piece of 'a long time ago' holds an incredible power to help us come to grips with today . In case you haven’t noticed, we are living at the very edge of a financial precipice from which many Americans will soon fall to their death. Let me set the stage.

Michael Douglas had a famous line in a 1987 movie called Wall Street. He said: “Greed is good.” Thankfully he and his protegee (Charlie Sheen) ended up reaping what they sowed and the Securities and Exchange Commission finally ended the party, just like in Bernie's case. Too bad Hal Holbrook couldn't at least have saved Bud.

But last year’s Bernie Madoff debacle -- as painful as it was to many private investors -- pales in comparison to J.P. Morgan’s ruthless ways. He was the man who destroyed America’s monetary system in the early 1900’s simply so he could be an extremely rich and powerful man.

Morgan’s banks held a lot of commercial loan paper at the time allowing him to rule a rather large financial empire. When President Teddy Roosevelt betrayed his former backers and went after banks in 1907, Morgan first set out to crush his biggest competitor, the H. J. Heinz Banks (yes, the pickle people).

After creating a ‘run’ on the Heinz banks Morgan crafted a propaganda campaign that spread across the country, skillfully conviencing people that they needed to hoard money. That dried up funds for many other banks leaving the J.P. Morgan group as the only game in town.

Along with sweet talking Congress (what we are going through now with corruption is nothing new), Morgan got permission to print $200 million in Morgan Bank Notes so he at least had unsecured credit -- ‘funny money’ -- to put out for loans. Along the way he also managed to get Congressional approval to swallow the Heinz family’s greatest asset, Heinz Steel. This was a sticky deal because he had already purchased U.S. Steel and to own both was your average textbook example of ‘antitrust’.

These are the type of people, specifically in large financial institutions, who have been actually running this country for more than a hundred years.

Why is that so important? Simple. Commentator Bill Still puts it this way: “It’s not what backs the money, it’s who controls its quantity. Big Banks are always going to be in the governing business as long as government borrows money from them. ”

I pointed out in my “Auditing the Fed” article recently that the Federal Reserve Bank is NOT a government agency (even though it has a ‘.gov’ URL address on the Internet. It is comprised of a group of privately held banks and people at the Federal Reserve click their heels every week and make money (in the form of credit) magically appear.

When Morgan created that $200 million years ago, he was doing exactly the same thing!

So what have they been up to lately at J.P. Morgan?

According to stats from the end of June in 2009, J.P. Morgan is holding $80 Trillion in commercial paper or 5.7 times the entire value of the U.S. GDP ($14 Trillion). That’s not 1/5 of the GDP, that’s 5 times the value of everything our country produces.

In fact, it holds 1.18 times the entire value of the World’s GDP. It is a company that holds 40% of all the assets in the world. But truth is, it could not sell a fraction of these assets (derivatives) to perhaps 99.9% of the people or companies on earth.

Why should we care? That’s where the ‘too big to fail’ mantra has come from in the past twelve months.

But is there really anything the United States government can really do about things? Here’s a hint.

J.P. Morgan holds nearly $80 TRILLION in virtually worthless commercial paper as ‘assets’. It’s hard assets (those that might actually be salable) total $1.57 Trillion to back up the debt. So that means it’s funny paper is 50 times more than its real money.

Let’s take a look at the other financial players.

Goldman Sacks has $40,477,262,000,000 in dubious paper.

( $40 Trillion or 333 times its $120 Billion in assets)

Bank of America $39,064,884,000,000 in dubious paper.

( $40 Trillion or 27.6 times its $1.45 Trillion in assets)

Citi National Bank $31,943,721,000,000 in dubious paper.

( $32 Trillion or 27.47 times its $1.165 Trillion in assets)

When all four of these financial institutions are combined the misery index nearly climbs out of sight.

Together they own $191.427 Trillion in questionable paper. Do you really think that when our government drops by the cashier’s window in China and asks for 100 Billion from time to time for ‘bail out money’, they are doing anything more than spitting at a typical California wild fire?

So now perhaps you realize things are indeed very bad. The politicians were lied to. The politicians lied to everyone else. Americans were kept too busy living a life beyond their means to pay any attention and they all got away with it. Think Barney Frank was doing any of us any favors? Not a chance. I believe he isn't stupid, just ruthless like J.P. Morgan. I hold to the belief that Frank wanted everyone to own a home because taxes on real estate are the number one source of income for government. You don't own your own home. You merely rent it from the government. Strange how the United States Constitution recognizes the Right To Own Property as one of its core beliefs...

President Obama spoke the other day of a ‘double dip’ Recession. That means just when it looks like our economy might come out of the woods, we are going to realize it’s actually on the verge of doing it all over again. He wasn’t talking about somewhere down the road in say five or ten years. He meant that like a little fawn struggling to climb to her feet, one small challenge could easily come along and knock Bambie right to the ground. Do you realize that our country has a history (there's that word again) of living through a 30 year downturn in its economy? Are you ready for that to happen again?

It’s time to learn to live with less. A lot less. Some adults may be able to grasp that concept but there will be many who will chose to live selfishly in a state of denial. Those are the ones who will star in the sequel for Escape From New York. Heaven help the young people who have rarely had to go without thanks to our abused credit laden society. They will take what they want and God help you if you are in the way.

Many people have often said that the “Gun Control” agenda was to prevent the citizens of the United States from launching an uprising against an unresponsive government. While there is a great deal of truth in that, all of us may have a much more local and immediate need to protect what is theirs from the world at their doorstep.
